Since Tippitt's cow, Bridget, trampled Clancy's beloved garden, the tailor and farmer have glared up the road at each other rather than sharing a friendly cup of tea. But then a cold March wind blows Clancy to Tippitt's door with an overcoat that needs mending. Tippitt, the tailor, has trouble getting around to working on Clancy's coat, but he is much quicker to allow an old friendship to be stitched back together. In Clancy's coat, Eve Bunting has written a bright, amusing story with a charming Irish lilt.
