Angela Johnson

Angela Johnson is the author of the Coretta Scott King Honor Book When I Am Old with You, as well as I Dream of Trains, illustrated by Beth Peck. Her books for older readers have also won numerous accolades, including three Coretta Scott King Awards, one each for her novels The First Part Last, Heaven, and Toning the Sweep; and a second Coretta Scott King Honor for The Other Side: Shorter Poems. In recognition of her outstanding talent, Angela was named a 2003 MacArthur Fellow. She lives in Kent, Ohio
