Arnold Ytreeide

1954-

Arnold Ytreeide is a fine storyteller who cares deeply about a family's spiritual growth. He is the founder of Storyteller Productions and recently married a wonderful family—Elsie and her two children. They all live in Nampa, Idaho, where they celebrate Advent together.

He tells us that during Advent, their family sets aside fifteen minutes each night for Advent celebration just before the youngest child goes to bed. The children take turns lighting the candles and then, by candlelight, he reads the story of Jotham. When he's finished, Elsie leads in prayer. Afterward, the children light "bedside candles" from the Advent candles and make their way to bed.

In the Author's Own Words

"I've been telling stories almost all my life, starting at age ten. At first it was just for school and family, but it wasn't long before I had the itch to reach a wider audience. There were adventures inside of me, and I wanted others to be able to go on those adventures too. So as I grew, short stories, plays, and movies gave way to full-length books, screenplays, stage plays, radio and TV shows, magazine articles, and stage musicals."
