Christine King Farris

1927 -

Christine King Farris is an associate professor of education and director of the Learning Resource Center at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia. She is the sister of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and the only remaining member of his immediate family. Mrs. Farris is also a noted lecturer and civic advocate. This is her second publication about her brother. Her first work was a workbook, published in observance of the first national holiday for Dr. King, entitled "Martin Luther King: His Life and Dream." Mrs. Farris is the mother of Isaac Farris Jr., Angela Farris Watkins, and grandmother of Farris Christine Watkins. She and her husband, Isaac Farris Sr., reside in Atlanta, Georgia.
