Eve Bunting

Eve Bunting grew up in Ireland and emigrated to the United States in 1959, so she knows well how Zoe and her family felt as they journeyed to the Nebraska Territory from their home in Illinois.  She is the award-winning author of more than 150 books for children and young adults, including Smoky Night, winner of the 1995 Caldecott Medal, and Flower Garden (both from Harcourt Brace, 1994).  She lives with her husband in Pasadena, California.
