Kari Percival

Kari Percival has always loved to get her hands in the dirt.  One of her earliest memories is of planting peas with her grandfather and experiencing the magic of gardening.  As a grown-up, she and her kids founded the Early Birds' Garden Club at a community garden near Boston, Massachusetts, with other young families in her neighborhood.  Together, they've done a lot of planting and watering, bug watching and playing in the dirt, and a little tasting of what grows! Kari studied picture making at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and environmental science and teaching at Antioch University New England.  She is delighted to share both her loves of art and science with you in this, her very first picture book.
