Kathleen Weidner Zoehfeld

1954 -

Kathleen Weidner Zoehfeld edited children's books for over ten years before becoming a full-time writer. She has published more than sixty books for children, most of them about animals and natural history.

Ms. Zoehfeld grew up on a farm in upstate New York, where she leapt into piles of leaves in autumn, went sledding in winter, planted tomatoes in spring, and helped her dad harvest hay in summer. She now lives in Berkeley, California, where she delights in the subtler signs of the changing seasons.
