Billy was a little boy who "loved horses more than anything else in the world," so you an imagine how very happy he was with his surprise birthday present: a beautiful bay pony.
He named the pony Blaze because he had a white blaze down his forehead, and from that day Billy was seldom seen without his new friend. They rode over the countryside and had many exciting adventures and even won the Silver Cup.
This is the very first book in the popular Billy and Blaze series. With sensitive drawings and easy-to-read words, Mr. Anderson captures the warmth and gentle understanding a little boy and his pony feel for one another.
