On a chilly November morning in the backyard of the blue house on Hollow Tree Lane, Chipmunk stuffs her balloon-like cheeks with seeds and acorns as she hurries from one oak tree to another. Enough food must be gathered before the first snows of December. A crow and another chipmunk hinder her search. As the late fall winds swirl through the backyard, few berries and nuts remain. Will Chipmunk find enough food for storage before the snows force her to her underground burrow for the winter?
