Eddie loves animals—he already has three dogs and a chameleon. He persuades Mr. Cornball, the pet shop owner, to let him be a volunteer store detective. Now Eddie is surrounded by all kinds of animals: puppies, kittens, birds, fish, rabbits, mice and a pony!
Eddie can't stay away from adventure. He helps Mr. Cornball put a splint on a puppy s broken leg, rescues a kitten from a three-year-old catnapper, and prevents two kids from shoplifting. Then, a crisis at the pet shop leads to a lot of new animal pets at Eddie's home!
