Nicanor is a successful merchant who possesses great wealth. When an invitation comes from the king asking Nicanor to help restore the Temple in Jerusalem, Nicanor is excited. He creates a beautiful new gate for the Temple, but his happiness is lost when the marvelous gate sinks into the sea.

Then, wonders of wonders, a miracle occurs.
