Judy's second summer visit to her crotchety old Aunt Maria proves even more exciting than her first. She has good times with the Harper girls, plays for the old ladies next door, and calls on Tony, the organ-grinder, in his box-car home. She and Bessie Harper sell tickets to an ice-cream festival and have an eventful evening there.
Then Judy and Bessie become involved in a fire which burns down the bandstand in the old park on Poplar Street. Changes come to Poplar Street — surprising changes for the neighborhood boys and girls and for their good friend Tony.
Here is another warmhearted, entertaining story of lovable Judy and of summertime life and activities in a small southern town.
