Sand flies in every direction as dozens of tiny loggerhead turtles thrash their way to the surface of a Florida beach. They rush to the ocean's edge to escape the hunting raccoons and ghost crabs. Among them is Loggerhead, who finally makes it to the water to begin her sea journey. Many years later, she will return to this same beach to lay her own eggs.

Growing bigger and stronger, she leaves the open sea to hunt in coastal waters. But her powerful body is no match for an abandoned fishing line that tangles her flippers. Follow the adventures and perils of Loggerhead as she mysteriously journeys back to the beach where she was born.
