I think one of the problems with Bible stories is that they're often told separately and are never given a chance to flow quickly enough that children can capture their flow and connection to each other. I hope this book will serve that purpose for them. I wanted a simple retelling without too many details. And as I looked for the story of Jesus in the New Testament, it was difficult to find one without a lot of doctrinal opinions inserted. There are many different sectarian beliefs and I didn't want those differences to get in the way. I wanted a story that would be a sweet, straight narrative of the life of Jesus. I believe the book I found serves that purpose.
