Book Guide

There was a little man who kept house all alone. He liked to cook and he liked to eat. But he grew very tired of doing all the dishes—so he stopped washing them. And the pile of dirty dishes grew and GREW until dishes were everywhere.

And he had nothing left to drink out of but a vase. And nothing left to eat out of but a soap dish. And the house was so FULL of dirty dishes that he couldn't shut the door!

It got to be a very BIG problem until the little man found the way out of his difficulties in a picture book that is as amusing and universal in its appeal as the little man's problem.
